Episode Fourteen Fourteen

The Hitchhiker

We all have days like this (Pictured: Dan Lucas)

Synopsis

Follow Lynus (from "Sheep go to Heaven, Goats go to Hell") as he hitchhikes to Chapel Hill. This is set about a year before he begins hunting the serial killer Sabastian.

This episode consists of five scenes and one rap video, written and directed by five different cast members. Watch Lynus survive a run-in with a good Samaritan, a soft-core porn, a married couple, a redneck's hallucinatory rampage, one cannibal, a Chevy Impala, and Shasta Moonmist.

Interesting Factoids

*This episode concept for this came from Richie Franklin*
*This episode ties in two other R.A.V.E. episodes. Sabastian and Lynus both appear, as do Billy Bragg and Guy from "Documentary of the Dead" fame*
*For once, no animals were harmed in the making of this R.A.V.E. episode*
*Richie Franklin is the real Slim Shady*
*Nick Bryant discovered Richie rapping one day in the quad and got his career started*
*For scene 4, the original script required TAB. After searching for a day, no TAB could be found, and was replaced by "Shasta Moon Mist." The summer after this shoot everyone went their separate ways and found TAB everywhere*

"I always have to hurt Lynus!"

Continuity Errors

Some cuts in the second scene don't match up, but that was because we were mocking a low-budget soft-core porn...yeah, that's it...

It is never explained how Lynus gets his clothes back after scene 2.

The interior of the white convertible that picks up Lynus in scene 5 is actually the inside of an old impala. There is just so much more room to film in those things. Yeah, more room to film, that's it...

Killing and Violence Starting Lines

Jim - "There's a leprechaun in here and you've got to fucking find it before it eats your skin!"

Martha - "Don't you make me hit this against the steering wheel! Don't you make me-"
"Why do you make me hurt Lynus huh? I ALWAYS HAVE TO HURT LYNUS!"

Guy - "There they were...we weren't goin' without a fight though."
"This isn't workin' guys. Guess we'd better resort to plan B..."
"RAAAAAAAAAAAA! DIE VIKIN' SCUM!!!"
