Interesting Factoids

  • sam cone was originally supposed to be in the final battle scene, but had to leave town for a frisbee tournament. the script was altered accordingly. -
  • for some reason, cherrae stuart can be seen in the background at chandler's apartment scene -
  • chandler's apartment was actually the director's department. the address given in the scene is its actual address -
  • dustin rhodes' shirts keep changing from scene to scene. oh well.
  • it is very noticeable that in the gun battle the cult members are not wearing their usual face paint. this was due to laziness and apathy on the part of the director. -
  • jenn rettew refers to "that rap video thing" when the colonel is resurrected. she is referring to "ja ja", a grammy winning german rap video performed by kermit the frog and mc kulshrank, who is the colonel's brother. this video aired many times on late night live, much to the chagrin of the colonel, who refers to his brother as "a bitch and a sell-out." he is often mistaken for his brother. -
  • harper asks the colonel if he ran for student body president. this, in fact, happened. the colonel ran for sbp in 2002, and managed to get at least 5 votes. his campaign ads stirred up much controversy, labeled by the press as "sock-puppet tomfoolery." he lost, and his demands for a recount were never met. -
  • when celebrating on the back porch, dustin puts on kashmir, by led zeppelin. fans of late night live will remember this as the song that a tedious and excruciatingly long montage of dustin smoking was edited to. this video was done to kill time in the episode in which the colonel was sent back to "dinosaur times." that is still no excuse. -
  • the thought bubble that appears when ryan is thought to be dead refers to him learning a tibetan heart stopping technique (supposedly in mexico- a DE2 reference). the colonel first took over as LNL co-host when ryan had a nervous breakdown and had to go to a monastery in tibet to recuperate. as for the bit about snake-eyes...well, he actually did stop his own heart in an issue of the g.i. joe comic book series.
