Bio - A member of RAVE for the last four years, Mr. Ward is actually an Americanized version of a popular Japanese video enthusiast, Kozo Yushiro. As is almost always the case, some aspects have been changed in the translation. For example:

* The Japanese version has a battery-backup instead of a password system.
* While the American version has a racetrack in his hometown, the Japanese
version has a water-park named Kamushio, or "Divine Tide."
* The Japanese version weighs twenty kilograms (44 lbs) less than the American version.
* In addition to being a video enthusiast, Kozo Yushiro regularly attends all-night dance parties, or "raves," where he consumes large quantities of recreational mind-altering substances. This trait was removed from the American version, as it was thought to be too confusing for Stateside audiences.
* Japanese is read right to left. Accordingly, the entire American run of Rick Ward has been flipped horizontally. This is true of all original Japanese series and does not degrade the quality of the artwork.

Please note that it takes a lot of time and effort to properly translate and dub the latest episodes. In the Japanese version, Yushiro has already graduated from Osaka University and is prospering in his second year of being a post-production supervisor. This new storyline is still a few months away for Rick.
