- This is the first episode of Darkness Falls.

- The original script did not contain the character Mikey and had Joel shooting a policeman at the end.

- Several scenes used dubbed sound including the pizza parlor and the pit.

- Over 50 shots were used to piece together the final scene.

- Shooting took so long, actor Dave Ferrell had to get a haircut to maintain continuity.

- The blood is mainly made of  corn syrup and chocolate syrup with a little red food coloring and is rumored to be quite tasty.

- Dave Ferrell actually ripped a hole in his shirt for the knife to puncture.

- Both Seagrumn Smith and Virginia Dozier allowed the show to film in their places, even while they were out of town.

c o n t i n u i t y   e r r o r s

- Haley's clothing changes between the planetarium and the restaurant, and back again.

- Both winter and summer clothing are seen due to weather changes.

- Joel's hair changes length.

- Regen is seen in the daylight in the pit, but both in the script and on location it is actually immediately after sunset. The camera just picks up more light.
