- This is the very first production effort by writer/director/asst. producer Elesha Renee' Barnette.

- Production of this episode originally began in November, but was delayed due to a broken camera, so entire scenes were reshot in January.

- The second round of production and postproduction was delayed due to record snowfall in the state of North Carolina.

- The scenes in Lenoir were originally supposed to take place on the Reverse U-Bus.

- Several times, producer M. Wilson Burdorff can be seen in the background as an extra.

- The "hey baby" scene in the Hinton-James lobby was shot at 9:20 in the morning on a Thursday with Comm Studies equipment - for no real reason whatsoever.

- Carolina basketball star, Brendan Haywood, makes a cameo in this episode.

- The original cut of the episode was 36 minutes long, eight minutes too long for broadcast. The broadcast cut is 28 minutes and 19 seconds.

- When Mary Elizabeth arrives at Hinton James she is wearing her backpack, but when she arrives in Jason's room a few moments later, she is carrying her books.
