Dawn Leman and Roland Eliot work as mercenaries for the mysterious Arjuna group. But when entire populations begin disappearing, Arjuna council member Ashe Montauge begins claiming that Dawn is the key to a prophecy about the end of the world. Told in a three-part structure where the story is repeated three times from three different points of view, Dawn must weave her way through Ashe's maze of words and Roland's misguided intentions in order to find her own path and escape from the places where the world has ended.
